Navy Yard Watch Box
Washington DCThe Watch Box was built in 1853 as the security entrance and check-in point for visitors to the Washington Navy Yard. It was subsequently relocated several times serving a variety of administrative purposes and was finally recognized as part of the Indian Head Naval Proving Ground Historic District.
